Slab Tongs can be of simplex or duplex type, mechanically operated, provided with automatic locking device.

The tongs are used for lifting of slabs with friction force. The simplex tongs have two point holding, to lift slabs vertically, Duplex tongs have four point holding, to lift slabs horizontally. They can be designed to operate electrically. Cold slabs, or hot slabs of 1000-1200єC temperature also can be lifted safely by using these tongs.

Operationsions using these tongs will be fast, smooth, safe with no additional man power except a crane operator.
